My husband and I just returned from the most amazing trip of a lifetime to Northern Italy and Southern France. We enjoyed so many delectable treats from every Patisserie and Boulangerie we came across, but we didn’t eat a single cupcake. Why? Because we couldn’t find any!! The cupcake image was very prolific, advertising everything from shoes to mall anniversaries, but the actual edible treat was only seen in the large La Rinascente department store in Milan. So what do you make of the fact that the image is everywhere, but the real thing is not?
