February 2, 2012 Groundhog Day, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I look back now 7 years later, cancer free and so thankful, and I can’t believe the impact that diagnosis had on my life. I am hopeful every single day that this miserable disease can and will be eradicated. However, for me, it wasn’t ALL bad. I was surrounded by incredibly supportive family and friends. I had the BEST team of doctors. I learned that I am stronger than I ever dreamed. I am a very lucky survivor. So, the begining of February now and forever shall have a different meaning/memory/outlook, but it is triumphant.
